The Subhaswara musical orchestra show of the Malabe Boys’ School was held recently at the Institute of Technology (University of Moratuwa) Auditorium, Diyagama, under the patronage of the Principal, Sisira Gunarathne, and Assistant Principal, Champika Madupaani.
The Chief Guest was Education Minister, Susil Premajayantha. The guests of honour were MP, Major Pradeep Udugoda, MP, Jagath Kumara, Western Province former Minister, Hector Bethmage, Commissioner General of Examinations, Amith Jayasundara and Kaduwela Zone, Divisional Education Director, Mihiri Anuradha Samarakoon. The musical orchestra included many events, such as singing, playing various musical instruments, announcing, presentations, and dramas.
Many guest artistes participated in this event – Rohana Bogoda, Athula Adhikari and Sandya Bulathsinhala. More than 100 students performed with thise orchestra.
Several schools participated in the Subhaswara orchestra – Malabe Horizon International School, Maharagama Widyakara Balika Vidyalaya, The University of Visual and Performing Arts and Vihagi Ranaweera from Musaeus College, Colombo.
