Kuda Herath
First Capital Holdings PLC, a member of the Janashakthi Group, has appointed Kuda Banda Herath as an Independent Non-Executive Director to the Company’s Board of Directors, from April 29.
Kuda Herath holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Chemistry from the University of Kingston, London.
He currently serves as an independent non-executive director of Central Finance Company since February 16, 2019. With a career spanning over 28 years in the fast-moving consumer goods industry in Sri Lanka, Herath commenced his journey at Nestle Lanka Limited, where he spent 16 years and held pivotal roles in manufacturing, sales, marketing, and global business excellence projects.
Subsequently, he served as an Executive Director of A. Baur & Co. for eight years, during which time he played a crucial role in establishing a consumer vertical for the company.
In April 2020, he assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer of the Consumer Business at Sunshine Holdings, with a primary focus on expanding their consumer footprint through mergers and acquisitions.
