KPMG will host a seminar on Companies Act intertwined with the Inland Revenue Act on August 29. It will be held at Ramada Hotel Colombo from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The presenters at the seminar will be the Principal, Tax and Regulatory, at KPMG in Sri Lanka, Suresh R. I. Perera and Director, Tax and Regulatory, Hasna Hassan.
The seminar will provide insights with regard to the interaction between the Companies Act and the Inland Revenue Act. The areas discussed will include tax impact of capitalisation of profits, ordinary and preference dividends, loans to and from directors’, personal liability of directors under the Inland Revenue Act, comparison of the requirements to maintain accounts under the tax rules and companies Act.
