NPLs: Social media reports false - People’s Bank

The People’s Bank in a media release states the news shared on some social media groups that some non-performing loans (NPL) of the Bank have been written off is not true.

“Relating to recent views expressed on Peoples Bank’s non-performing loan write-offs, as shared in certain social media groups, the Bank’s Management hereby categorically denies such statements as being true. None of the loans discussed in the said forums has been written off.”
