35th Sarasaviya Film Awards at BMICH on March 28

The 35th Lux Sarasaviya Film Awards is poised to celebrate the country’s cinematic excellence on March 28 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMCH), Colombo. The awards ceremony starts at 6.30 p.m.

Unilever Lux, proudly stands as the festival’s main sponsor, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing the growth and prosperity of the Sri Lankan film fraternity. Commercial Bank is the banking partner.

The queen of Sri Lankan cinema, the legendary Dr. Malini Fonseka, will grace the event as the chief guest while Transport, Highways and Mass Media Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardena will be the Guest of Honour.

A total of 57 coveted awards will be presented to films released during the years 2019 and 2020, spanning a diverse array of categories including direction, acting, cinematography, playback singing and music composition.
