Standard Chartered Bank gained a comfortable 56-47 victory over Kanrich Finance in a Mercantile Services Basketball Association League match played at Pedris Park courts recently. At half time Kanrich Finance were in front by five points, but the bankers fought well to overcome the opponents in the second session with M. Ratnayake scoring 20 points.
In a another game Akbar Brothers overcame NDB Bank in a highly competitive match 58-56. At half time the winners led 28-24. Dimitri Grebe was the top scorer for the winners with 19 points. IFSR and DB had a easy 43-32 win over Akbar Brothers after leading 16-10 at the half way mark.
