Trinity’s ten-a-side rugby today

4 November, 2018

Trinity College comes out after nearly a decade with the students-friendship inter-house rugby U-19 tournament to be played at Nittawela today (4).

It will be a ten-a-side affair with the assistance of the Old Trinitians’ rugby scrimmage. Kick-off is at 10 a.m.

Rugby ten-a-side is made up of ten players, typically five forwards and five backs. Matches are usually played as two ten-minute halves.

Tens rugby was introduced by (COBRA) the Combined Old Boys Rugby Association of Malaysia in 1967 primarily, to enable players to better compete against larger-sized players.
