Isipathana College emerged Cup champions of the schools Milo under-16 division one inter-school 10 a side rugby tournament yesterday when they beat Wesley College 29-0 in the final in Kandy.
In the Plate trophy final DS Senanayake College over-powered Trinity College while in the Bowl’s final Science College pocketed the title after defeating Lumbini College 43-5. The Shield went in favor of Piliyandala Central who beat Maliyadeva College by ten points to nil.
All the matches were played at the Bogambara stadium and there was a great mix of talent. There were some exciting up-and-coming talent in action and this was an opportunity for exposure and experience especially as schools look to build good players.
In the last year’s tournament Wesley College emerged as Cup champions and this time were runner-up.
