The inaugural Sport Literary awards ceremony called Sabuddhi Sports Literary awards is scheduled to be held at the Sports Ministry Duncan White Auditorium on December 12 at 4 pm.
Media persons, media institutes and sport Literary personalities will be felicitated on this occasion while Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa will be the Chief Guest.
The awards will presented for ten categories based on the year 2019.
The sports media institute of the year , the sports Literature magazine of the year, the best sport development publisher of the year, the best sports literature television channel of the year, the best sport literature daily and weekend newspaper of the year, the best sports literature radio channel of the year, the best sports literary personality of the year, the best sports literature book are the main awards to be presented on this occasion.
The awards recipients are selected by Sabuddhi Sports Jury Committee headed by Harsha B. Abeykoon the former Sports Media Secretary. The consultant committee comprise senior consultants Prof Parthibha Mahanama and Prof Asanga Wijayaratne. (DR)
