Hilton Colombo celebrated ‘World Ice Cream Day’ with a thrilling ice cream challenge for both children and adults last Saturday. The challenge for adults was to eat 15 scoops of Haagen Dasz ice cream with topping, weighing 1.5kgs in just eight minutes! The winner, Shane wiped out the bowl in 7.28 minutes and walked away with a night’s stay on full board at Hilton Colombo whilst the first and second runners up Wayne and Sachin consecutively received a dinner for two at the Graze Kitchen restaurant. Wayne ended up with 646 grams and Sachin with 734 grams of ice cream and topping.
The kids challenge of eating 5 scoops with topping in 5 minutes with a grace period of 2 extra minutes was won by Umar with a timing of 6.10 minutes followed by first runner up Yanik and second runner up Nulara who received Café Kai vouchers.
